In a given day we translate roughly as much text as you’d find in 1 million books.
To put it another way: what all the professional human translators in the world produce in a year,
our system translates in roughly a single day. By this estimate,
most of the translation on the planet is now done by Google Translate.

Another interesting statistic,
Google Translate has yet to sucessfully translate a single sentence correctly either to or from the Japanese language. An amazing statistic considering how many millions of requests/querys it has attempted since it’s inception 3 years ago. It has yet to come up with a correct translation even once…mind boggling! Statistically, a room full of monkeys with typewriters would have a higher success rate.
